USSC Director of Research Jared Mondschein talks to ABC Radio National about Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate selection. Mondschein describes how South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, a frontrunner for the role, admitted in her forthcoming book to shooting a puppy in the “attempt... to look tough, to make it seem like she can make the tough decisions.”
Mondschein also discusses the criteria for Trump’s running mate, and states that “he’s looking to get into demographics that he is maybe not as strong with.” Mondschein says that Trump will likely select “a non-white candidate, a female candidate, or a more establishment candidate.”
